  Siobhán Marie O’Brien (pronounced Shiv-awn) born in Limerick, Ireland, is a Singer/ Songwriter/Recording Artist who performs with acoustic guitar and  harmonica.

 

    Hailing from Limerick, Ireland, O'Brien has been entertaining audiences with her individual unique voice, and her personal style of songwriting. No newcomer to he entertainment field, Siobhan made her first audio recording at the tender age of six, with an old sea shanty. Siobhan has roots from four generations in the music industry. Most notably, she is the niece of Ireland's Sixties music legend, Brendan Bowyer. Her vocal style has been described as "caressing a lyric with sophisticated simplicity."   

                                                                                

  Siobhan performed with The Fleadh Cowboys and Liam O'Maonlaí (Hothouse Flowers) at The Button Factory 2011, she was guest vocalist with The San Diego Symphony Orchestra in California 2010,and guest vocalist with famed Irish group The Chieftains at Boston Symphony Hall, Massachusetts 2008. Siobhan's Folk Album Songs I grew up to features several of Siobhan's musical friends such as Paddy Moloney (The Chieftains) and Irish music legend Brendan Bowyer (The Royal Show Band) and Pete Cummins (Fleadh Cowboys)

 

 In addition to Bob Dylan inviting her to join him on stage She has also appeared in shows supporting such acts as: Christy Moore,The Cranberries, Donavan, Henry Mc Cullough (Wings), Damien Dempsey,and many more. Leonard Cohen heard about Siobhán from a friend of his which prompted him to send a book to her called 'Dance Me To The End Of Love' with a Henry Matisse painting on each page, as a gesture of encouragement. O'Brien's  201(self titled) Album with producer Eamonn Hehir is now available .
